The Estate Today

The London Estate today comprises some 200 properties containing over 825,000 square feet of office and educational accommodation, some 100,000 square feet of retail space, over 1,000 hotel bedrooms and more than 550 flats. It also includes two public garden squares, Russell Square and Bloomsbury Square and several private garden areas. These include Bedford Square, the only intact Georgian garden square in London. Between 2010 and 2012 the Estate regenerated Store Street to create a vibrant village high street, full of independent retail shops, cafes and restaurants.

We continue to be dedicated to the long term development of the Bloomsbury area. Through a continuous programme of careful maintenance and refurbishment, the Estates' historic buildings and public areas in Bloomsbury are being preserved and constantly adapted for modern day usage. In conjunction with The London Borough of Camden, English Heritage and other key stakeholders, we continually strive for the improvement of the local environment for Bloomsbury residents, businesses and visitors alike.

The Estates' properties are all managed from The Bedford Office in Montague Street, London WC1. Our team of chartered surveyors, property managers, administrators and gardeners are committed to the highest standards of estate management and customer care and are available to help with any enquiries you may have.
