The Bedford Square Gardens Gazebo
We are delighted to announce the completion of our refurbishment of the Bedford Square Gardens Gazebo.
There has been gazebo located in Bedford Square gardens for the last two hundred years. An ordinance survey map dated 1871 shows the gazebo located in the centre of the gardens. At some time between that date and 1894, it was relocated to its current position.
The structure is grade II listed. However, the original materials have long since perished and been replaced over the years. Extensive refurbishment works were undertaken and included the replacement of a number of rotten timbers. A new finial was made and positioned as per the drawings and pictures we have available.
Further proof if needed of The Bedford Estates continuing commitment to preserve the heritage of our London portfolio. Here’s looking forward to the next two hundred years.
